Part-Time or Full-Time Non-exempt entry-level positions open at The Film Hub Coworking space in Vista, Ca (San Diego County) Experience in painting and set building, or production assistant work on video shoots preferred. 

Job Description: As the studio stagehand you are the person behind the scenes of the stage preparation and set builds for video shoots and events. This position ranging from general studio & facility maintenance to the facility liaison to clients, checking in and out clients, set building and construction, facility tours and production assistance. We are looking for an individual who is a fast learner and wants to learn, self–motivated, hard worker who works quickly, efficiently, and safely.  Needs good interpersonal & listening skills, an approachable team member with a positive attitude.  Someone who has or can developed customer service skills to work with stage rental clients. The position has an opportunity to be promoted to Studio manager which would involve stagehand work and coordinator and confirm bookings.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Stage prep for bookings: Painting cyc, cleaning & Sanitizing, re-setting stage for next check-in.

Inventory and purchase stage and facility items.

Set up and strike sets in stages and on locations.

Equipment/Set rental fulfillment and management.

Act as primary contact and liaison upon client’s arrival to the studio.

Responsible for booking logistics during shoot or event, reviewing call sheets.

Coordinate and communicate with stage manager in preparation of client’s arrival.

Provide exceptional customer service to our clients throughout their booking.

Rental record processing and keeping along with inventory logs.

Troubleshoot, problem-solving, source gear and set rentals as necessary.

Facility maintenance: Office repainting & repairs, Assist in community break room as necessary.

Event assistance with set up & clean up, parking and traffic director.

Guided Facility tours by appointment or walk-ins.

Contribution on occasion to sales & marketing pursuits with taking studio videos and photos, content creation, social media, and more.

On occasion cover the front desk, answer general incoming calls, exemplary customer service, can-do attitude and maintain confidence.

Understands The Film Hub culture and brand and ensures compliance with all our Policies & Procedures, as well as studio operational standards.

Performs other job-related duties as needed.

Skills:

Entry-level skills of on-set operations or set building in art department.

Knowledge of use of basic tools and basic knots.

Sufficient at painting walls and basic facility maintenance.

Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with management, clients, and team members

Must have strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently while demonstrating good judgment.

Ability to anticipate needs and multi-task in a fast-paced environment and onset.

Ability to perform all duties in a safe manner and in alignment with Company policies and procedures.

Experience in Lighting, Grip & electric is a benefit.

Requirements:

GED Education required & Ability to successfully pass a drug screen and criminal background check.

Personal Basic tools required for Job: tool belt, hammer, Combination Square, Measuring tape, small level, pliers- needle nose & slip point & channel lock, side cutters, medium screwdriver (flat and Philips), screw gun, gloves, putty knife, and Eye protection.

Must be able to lift over 50 pounds, comfortable on ladders and using lifts.

Required physical activity for long periods of time, high endurance.

Daily Work Locations: The Film Hub 170 Eucalyptus Ave Vista, Ca or off location stage in Vista, Ca.

Schedule: Flexible and open availability required, some weekends required.

Social Media Content Creator

Part-Time Entry-level positions open at The Film Hub Coworking space in Vista, Ca (San Diego County) Proficient Experience in audio and video camera work & editing along with social media knowledge. 

Job Description: Internal content creation for advertisement of The Film Hub.  Recording behind-the-scenes footage of productions and events, along with recording interviews and other content for social media.  Editing footage together into storylines and clips for platforms. Other requirements for position are handling some of our Studio check-ins & Stagehand work from time to time. Assist in preparation and set builds for clients’ shoots and events. Needs good interpersonal & listening skills, an approachable team member with a positive attitude.

Proficient knowledge of Lighting and AV equipment.

Editing of all video and audio content in Adobe Premiere.

Proficient in digital graphics for videos and photos.

Editing of photos for social media.

Graphic layouts for advertisements.

Very knowledgeable of social media platforms.

Contribution to sales & marketing pursuits.

Provide exceptional customer service as a Staff member of The Film Hub to our members and clients.

Understands The Film Hub culture and brand and ensure compliance with all our Policies & Procedures, as well as studio operational standards.
