Another day begins under the cool coastal fog, which lays over the Inspired Images Studio property. As the sun warms the morning air, the fog slowly rises revealing a varied landscape of grassy landscapes, vineyards, horse corrals, gazebos and yes a Sound Stage designed from the ground up for film production.
This place is far from the crowded LA freeways and the sounds of traffic; a quieter place conveniently located near the 78 freeway, yet nestled in the hills of North County San Diego. The community of Vista has long been home to artist of all kinds so it makes sense why this place was chosen to develop a film community. While walking on the grounds I can’t help to feel that the atmosphere here is conducive to the creative process, and that’s what makes this place different. It’s not only the grounds, but also the people who work there who lend to this atmosphere.
Their very talented art director, Lauren Fehlhaber can work up creative set plans which construction lead man Woody Woodburn and carpenter Michael Dequattro can expertly execute. They are incredibly professional, with the highest quality standards around. Having a Stage and Art Department at the same location is a huge savings in cost.
This finely crafted facility has been developed by Jim Ellis a 35 year veteran producer who has produced everything from industrials to full length features. Understanding the needs of producers, he has the tools and experience to help any producer accomplish his task with the least amount of stress. It’s a family run operation where you actually feel like part of the family.
